Sharon Huckel, a third generation Messianic believer, and her husband Tom, a gentile, have been serving in Jewish ministry since 1985.

Sharon Huckel has been involved in music ministry for over 30 years. Sharon is a Messianic believer in Yeshua (Jesus) and serves with her husband Tom at Hananeel Ministries. Sharon’s heart for ministry can be heard on her Messianic Music recordings: “Courts of Praise” (2006), “Tabernacle” (1995), and “For Zion’s Sake” (1987, CD Re-issue, 2001).
Sharon’s vocal talent was recognized at an early age and as a young adult she was offered a vocalist scholarship to the renowned Juliard Music School. But when Sharon’s husband, Tom, felt a divine calling to Jewish ministry, Sharon decided to focus on supporting those efforts and devoted herself exclusively to music ministry.
In 1987 Sharon’s faithfulness was rewarded when Chosen People Ministries (where Tom was serving at that time) commissioned Sharon’s first solo recording, “For Zion’s Sake”. Featuring significant contributions from International recording artist Paul Wilbur, including two duets, musical backing from seminal Messianic band Israel’s Hope, and the songwriting of Steffi Rubin (author of “Trees of the Field”), “For Zion’s Sake” is a classic. Masterfully produced by Barry Rubin, “For Zion’s Sake” blended joyful Klezmer (Jewish folk), majestic ballads, and contemporary praise.
Sharon ministers at conferences, special concerts, and alongside Tom as they minister in congregations. Tom and Sharon Huckel travel throughout the United States but their ministry is primarily focused on the East Coast, and especially the Philadelphia region, where Hananeel Ministries has their headquarters.
Hananeel Ministries also has an active outreach to the 30,000 plus Russian speaking Jewish population of Philadelphia with ESL classes Shabbat services, and special concerts and events.
